What Social Connect does
Social Connect lets the AI assistants you choose (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Grok) read, search and catch up on your own messaging accounts that you connect (Telegram, WhatsApp, and others as they become available), and draft replies. Nothing is sent unless you approve it in Social Connect.
What we store, and how
- Your account: your email address and sign-in records.
- Connected accounts: the session or access credentials for each account you connect. For WhatsApp, also the recent messages it delivers to the linked device (WhatsApp keeps no history we can fetch later), by default about the last 3 months.
- Encrypted under your key: all of the above except your email is encrypted with a key that belongs to you. We don't keep that key: it can be unlocked only by you (your browser or your recovery code) and by the AI apps you connect. While a request is being served, the key and the data it needs are in our servers' memory; they are not written anywhere readable.
- Photos and files are fetched when you or your assistant ask for them and are never stored.
- Billing: your plan and, if you subscribe, a Stripe customer id. Card details are held by Stripe, not us.
Who else processes data
- Cloudflare hosts the service (compute, storage, email, and the optional smart-tagging model, which runs on Cloudflare).
- The messaging providers (Telegram, WhatsApp/Meta, X, Discord) receive the requests needed to read or send on your behalf.
- The AI assistants you connect receive whatever they read through Social Connect. Their own privacy policies apply to that.
- Stripe processes payments.
We don't sell data, use it for advertising, or use it to train models.
Your controls
- Hide chats from every assistant in Privacy.
- Disconnect an account at any time. Its encryption key is deleted first, which makes everything stored for it unreadable, and then the data is deleted.
- Revoke an assistant from its own settings, or by resetting your key.
- Email us to delete your account entirely.
Risks you should know
Telegram and WhatsApp are connected through unofficial clients, the way third-party apps do. These providers may restrict or ban accounts that use such clients.
